A warm welcome to NFU Mutual

Founded in 1910 by seven Warwickshire farmers, NFU Mutual has grown to become the UK’s leading rural insurer with an annual turnover of £1.5 billion and assets under management of £12.2 billion at the end of 2010. Today, thanks to our Agents and their staff, we’ve become part of the fabric of rural life which means that we know what’s important to our members and we continue to provide them with the cover they need, at a fair price and with a first-class personal service. And we're proud to say that this local personal service is reflected in the fact that over 90% of our customers renew with us each year, through their local agency office.

We receive more public recognition too: in 2010 and 2011 we won a number of awards, many voted for by our customers. Awards like this really matter to us as they are a strong reflection of the loyalty that we work so hard to earn. We recently topped the Which? reader survey for customer service on both our home and car insurance products, we were voted Britain’s best car insurance provider by readers of Auto Express magazine for the sixth year in a row and most recently swept the board at the Moneywise awards winning all six insurance categories, including best insurance provider for service and claims and most trusted provider. We’re also very pleased to have received more Defaqto 5 star awards than any other insurer as these recognise the quality of the cover we provide.

But what’s behind our continued success? The simple answer is people and building long lasting relationships. Whether it's customers or colleagues, we’re all about relationships. The personal touch is what makes us special and it’s our Agents, like Colin and Aled - featured within our website - and everyone within our agency network that makes dealing with NFU Mutual so different.

Thank you for taking the time to find out more about becoming part of the team within our agency network. As you discover more about our organisation, our unique agency structure and our strong links with the rural community and Farming Unions, I’m confident that you’ll learn why, more than anything, we can offer you a rewarding, challenging and fulfilling career.
