The mentoring scheme we run helps our new Agents by putting them in contact with an experienced Agent from another office in the UK. Your mentor Agent will work with you over an 18 month period providing advice and guidance that will help you develop and succeed in your new role.

Your Regional Manager is responsible for all NFU Mutual field staff and the strategy within the region. Splitting their time between Head Office and the Regions, they are responsible for managing and developing the Agency Network itself, as well as helping Agents to be the best they can be for themselves and their business.
Financial Planning Managers lead, manage and develop the regional life sales team of Financial Advisors. They act as links across the Agency network, designing and delivering regional plans to achieve targets and support the national strategy for developing financial services and maintaining standards of customer care and compliance.
Sales Devlopment Consultants drive Agency sales activity, supporting the development and ongoing review of the annual sales plan, whilst ensuring compliant, profitable growth across a defined area. Sales Consultants promote and encourage sales activity and manage sales perfromance against agreed targets. Sales Consultants typically work with 4-8 Agencies.
Quality Development Consultants form a vital link between our Head Office and our agencies. Working in a growing area of the organisation, they shape and develop the quality and consistency of sales within the business. Quality Development Consultants advise on everything from training and development to compliance and quality. They understand the nuances of the agencies they work with, train and develop sales staff, and carry out audits to identify and proactively resolve any quality issues.
Learning & Development Specialists are responsible for delivering techcial product, sales and skills courses to the Agency network.
Financial Advisors are there to help you develop the Financial Services business opportunities in your area - a critical part of NFU Mutual's sales strategy. Financial Advisors advise on and sell NFU Mutual's range of investment, savings and protection products and work closely with Agencies to maximise the opportunities from both existing and new members.
It is important to build a close relationship with your Claims and Underwriting colleagues within your Regional Service Centre as you will be in contact on a regular basis. Underwriters produce quotes for your Agency’s business including any discounts that are available, and your Claims Handlers will deal with larger claims that your in-house Claims Administrator escalates.
